I learned about Mr. Agi when I was in college, when a large number of suspicious books were piled up and sold, and the contents were mainly noise-industrial, interviews with Genesis P-Orridge, and maniacs. The text is difficult and I don't understand at all, but for the time being, it was a book that tickled the collector's heart, as if the jacket was crowded when I opened the page. That was "EGO" No. 1.
Among them, Mr. Agi frequently visited after opening a record shop called "NEU" in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. For the time being, the product lineup was abnormal. The interior is like a gallery, and a grand piano is placed in the center with a don. A lustrous woman wore a dress and was in charge of the store.
It was like a salon where such enthusiasts gathered.
At that time, I wasn't good at talking to people, so I was looking at them in a long way.
Over time, the times will change and club culture will emerge.
Mr. Agi also responded sensitively and managed new clubs one after another in a proactive manner.
A small club called "cafe blue" was made in a remote place in Osaka.
Just in the era, drum'n'bass and trip hop were the mediators of the music world. Around this time, I often went to "cafe blue" with my friends.
And before I knew it, I didn't hear Mr. Agi's name. From around this time, I was so obsessed with JAZZ that I couldn't see it from my view. I was preparing to launch my own label "Terminal Explosion".
Then, as the days went by, when I was watching Twitter, from around 2011 or 2012, Mr. Agi said that he would feature industrial and 90's RAVE at Honmachi's gallery and LIVE house "nu things". Moreover, it is said that Mr. Agi will also be a DJ (Bricolage) in the exhibition program.
Anyway, I went to the "Post-Industrial Exhibition" and "Acid House (RAVE MUSIC) Exhibition" .
While talking to Mr. Hirano, a staff member (Currently the manager of "environment 0g") at the venue (I forgot how I thought it was, but after that), I got an offer for LIVE. That is the sound source recorded here.
At that time, Mr. Agi was addicted to dark experimental music with a strong industrial color called "tip music". At that time I was starting to dig into Gorge, but I didn't use that taste here.
Unfortunately, Mr. Agi did not come to the venue on that day (I think).
After that, when I held two Gorge events at this nu things, I finally met him.
However, for some reason, I couldn't talk to him as if to dodge it many times, and the days went by.
After that, the Incident.
And one day sudden obituary.
There is no doubt that he was the one who had a great influence on my early musicality. And because of that, I was deified and I was afraid to talk to him.
Mr. Agi, it's been a while since I passed away, but I'm still involved in music.
It was a regret that I couldn't talk to you even once.
Please be at ease.
See you in the dark again!
